Seal all gaps around doors and windows with weather stripping, siding, and pipes entering residence with silicone caulk. For gaps too wide to caulk, stuff copper mesh to prevent pest entry. Rodents are unable to gnaw through the copper mesh. Be sure to keep all shrubbery and tree branches trimmed around the home reducing nesting areas and removing any gateways in contact with the home.
